Equity Accreditation
The legislation on Black Economic Empowerment makes provision for Micro Enterprises to be rated on the scorecard by obtaining exempted status. In order to be classified as an Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) a business must be certified as turning over less than R5m per annum. As such Hunting Dragons consulting qualifies as an EME and is thus able to score a 4 on the BEE scorecard.

The level 4 score makes Hunting Dragons Consulting eligible for Preferential Procurement status with all government departments and parastatals according to the Policy on Preferential Procurement. This EME status is currently valid but as the business grows beyond the R5m mark, it will be scored on the full applicable BEE scorecard.
